Sgt Korbosky enlisted for service with the RAAF at Perth, WA on March 31, 1941.
On July 7, 1941 while serving with 9 Elementary Flying Training School with the rank of Leading Aircraftman (LAC), Korbosky was involved in an accident aboard Tiger Moth A17-202 which at the time was being piloted by P/O K O Richardson. The aircraft sustained "Very extensive" damage when a wing hit the ground during low-level flying approximately 5 miles north west of Cunderdin Aerodrome, WA. Neither crew member was injured. |
